Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) on Monday inaugurated the second edition of Katara Prize for the Arabic novel in an effort aiming at adding value to the Arab novel scene, as the event hosts a variety of literary activities to be culminated with announcing winners of the second edition of the prize. This edition of the prize has exceeded all expectations with 1004 entries, which was split into three major categories: unpublished novels received 732 works, published novels received 234 works, while literary criticism studies have received 38 papers. HBKU Press will be in attendance throughout the festival.
