The Near and Middle Eastern Journal of Research in Education provides an international forum for educationalists, researchers, and policy makers to share the knowledge and experience in the discipline of education in the Near and Middle Eastern Region. The journal attempts to disseminate applied and basic research in the area of education indigenous to the Near and Middle East region. The journal has a multidisciplinary orientation with emphases on comparative educational research. Empirical studies are given priority over normative and philosophical oriented manuscripts. The journal also welcomes research models fitting in well with the epistemological and cultural models of the region. The identity of the journal is multiple but mainly indigenous to the Near and Middle Easter region.
The journal has its own geographic perimeters defined by its title. However, the journal encourages research papers from North African countries as well as Greek Cyprus, West Bank, Gaza strip, and the rest of the Near and Middle Eastern countries.
